Unicorn

I have always kinda liked unicorns (hence my DA name), but for some reason I became much more attached to them after seeing The Last Unicorn. I thought the movie was really goofy the first time I watched it, but I have come to love it. I also read the book, which I think helped me appreciate the story a lot more. The movie is very faithful to the book but leaves out a few details that make the story more satisfying and complete. 

I originally imagined unicorns to be built more like draft horses, but I have gradually become more attached to a lighter, more deer-like interpretation.

I can't remember the name of it, but there was a series of books I read that had very beautiful unicorn illustrations. These lead me to draw unicorns with a curved horn for a while. Since then, I have dropped that concept in favor of the more classic look. 

Yes, I have put a lot of thought into this. 

I did this entirely in Illustrator.
